Feedback from Gender Inequity Simulator Participants:
This was so impactful. You both delivered the messages and content in a way that makes people want to lean in and truly become an ally. Thanks so much!
I thought the training was great. It helped me realize the diversity of perspectives that we do have, even though it doesn't seem like it sometimes. I definitely reflected on various ways I have exhibited bias after the training.
I think this was a great way to bring to the surface many examples of bias that frequently go unnoticed.
A really great exercise to becoming much more fully aware of gender bias in the workplace. I got so mad! But that was part of the point and not something I had experienced before.
It was a great experience and a great way to cement learnings.
I thought this was such a great activity. As a woman, there were several things that weren't surprising to me, but I loved that the men in my group truly started to understand that bias is real and by being on the receiving end, realized how even small comments have such a big impact.
This was a great simulation. I have not participated in an activity like this. I think it will leave an impression for a long time.
The simulator was a clear and convicting experience which was easy to get engaged with emotionally.
It was fun and engaging for our team. It was at the same time eye opening and created some good conversations.
I felt it was a wonderful tool and highlighted several issues that I have experienced personally.
It was very real for me - some of the scenarios that we acted out have happened nearly identically so it was good to talk through it and see the desire for the organization to change.
I found that I was thinking about bias much differently, largely because the training--and the simulator specifically--forced me to consider experiences that I am not familiar with. - Participant, Gender Inequity Simulator, Nielsen
The simulation was very effective at bringing numerous situational examples to the table at once. The character usage allowed each individual to experience an in-depth character, but also see the other character experiences. - Participant, Gender Inequity Simulator, Nielsen
Gild has presented at our last two conferences to rave reviews. Of the six breakout sessions on our conference agenda, Gild was the highest rated session. The beauty of what Gild offers is meaningful content delivered in a manner that sparks powerful conversations, even when discussing uncomfortable topics. This ability to strike a balance between the presented material and audience participation drives stronger insights and deeper learning than presented material alone. I’ve been nothing but pleased in all my interactions with Gild. Every proposal is well thought through and customized for the specific needs of our organization. Kelsey and Rachel are responsive leading up to events and always deliver flawlessly on the desired content. - Pauline Krinov, WIN Leader for Mid-US Region and VP Product Management, Nielsen
Working with Gild Collective was a fantastic experience. The training they provided our organization was customized to fit the needs of our organization. They also created an environment that spawned safe and productive conversations amongst our employees. At the end Gild Collective provided us with a "Pre and Post survey findings" as well as a "Future recommendations" section that was very helpful to our organization. - Paul Eagle, Vice President, Marketing & Communications, Catholic Relief Services
A note from the client: “According to an internal survey last month, we made significant progress in closing the gender gap in our department. We know that this was in part because of your training and are very grateful for your support. In short, we raised engagement scores of women by 19 points over two years.”
We reached out to the Gild Collective to help us with some training on women's equity in the workplace. The Gild collective tailored a very specific program for us based on feedback we had received from an internal survey. After the first session, we realized it needed to be even more tailored to specifically focus on issues women of color were facing. The team did an amazing job responding to our feedback and tweaking to meet our updated need. We came away with very positive feedback across the organization and would highly recommend to others. - Amy Rogers, SVP, Vox Global
My organization worked with the Gild Collective for programming around International Women's Day. Rachel was extremely easy to work with, understood our groups mission, and delivered programming that was not only relevant to IWD, but was also relevant to our global audience. We received glowing reviews from our attendees and a feel that they walked away with tangible action steps to use in their day to day lives. I would highly recommend the Gild Collective if you are looking for a professional organization to drive content for your next event. - FIS Empower, Global Women’s Initiative Leader
We have worked with Gild Collective several times over the past few years and have had a great experience. It was extremely easy to find a topic timely and relevant for our audience. Additionally, Kelsey is very knowledgeable on hot topics, women in the workforce, workplace culture, etc. and always leaves us with tools we can use for the future. - Gillian Flick, President of Women's Energy Network Greater Pittsburgh 2021
Kelsey and Rachel were a pleasure to work with. They really sought to understand our needs for the program, and asked clarifying and thought-provoking questions that helped us think of new ways to engage the cohort. They met deadlines in a timely manner, and were always open to feedback, suggestions and changes. During the retreat they were professional, focused and fun. It was obvious they had put in the time and energy to prepare accordingly, and it was reflected in the success of the retreat and the positive comments from the participants. We are thrilled to have them as an important partner in our work. - Tamara Lang, Women Excel Programs Leader, Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber
Gild Collective has been an instrumental part of helping us build our women’s initiative. To help us kick off this initiative, Gild Collective presented an implicit bias training to our leadership team. Before the training, Gild Collective set aside time to listen to the issues we were facing within our firm and then customized a program to facilitate meaningful discussions on issues that needed to be addressed. This presentation not only helped lay the foundation to launch our women’s initiative, but also brought awareness of implicit bias to our leadership group. This training continues to spark important conversations throughout all levels of the firm. - Mackenzie, Talent Management Coordinator, Clark Schaefer Hackett
Gild Collective provided an opportunity for Xavier University to engage with women alumni and friends in a professional development setting. The ladies at Gild Collective worked with us to customize a series of professional development workshops around topics that women deal with in their careers. Not only did participants have the opportunity to network with others, but walked out of each session with ways to manage and address a variety of workplace related issues. What we liked about working with Gild Collective was their ability to customize workshops and we found the experience to be extremely rewarding. We would recommend Gild Collective to organizations who are seeking talented and experienced facilitators to lead workshops that will enhance the development of women leaders in today’s fast moving environment. - Becky Jackson, Director of Alumni Engagement, Xavier University
There was so much positive buzz in our office after the event – everyone loved it! Both Rachel and Kelsey have impressive career backgrounds and this permeates all things that they do through Gild. It’s awesome to work with such driven and successful women who aim to inspire other women to do the same. I highly recommend working with this awesome team! - Taylor, Emnos
